ETI is currently seeking qualified personnel for the following positions:

 

PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR 

Position:                Production Supervisor (Fulltime Permanent Position)

 

Hire Date:              Immediate

 

Duties:           

• Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule the activities of 25 to 30 factory workers who assemble, fabricate and inspect electric motors and generators.

• Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other departments

Control various load factors to ensure maximum usage of available capacity, taking into account available labour, tools and equipment

Monitor the production process closely to ensure that any variances that arise will be dealt with immediately so that production downtime is minimized

Ensure that the preproduction and manufacturing requirements, such as workstation load, overtime, tooling, machines, etc. are available according to the production schedule

• Resolve work problems and recommend work measures to improve productivity

• Requisition materials and supplies

Ensure that the proper paperwork is issued to Manufacturing Information so that the proper material charges can be allocated

• Train staff in job duties, safety procedures and company policies

• Recommend personnel actions such as hiring and promotion

• Prepare production and other reports

• May set up machines and equipment

 


 

Qualifications:

A minimum of 5 -10 years manufacturing experience

Post-secondary education or equivalent in electrical or manufacturing technology

Some experience and knowledge of quality assurance systems

• Computer literate.  Proficiency in Microsoft Office required

• Proficiency in SYMIX manufacturing system preferred

• Able to work effectively in a team environment

• Able to work independently and accurately with a minimum of supervision

• Able to work closely with the Vice President Operations, keeping in mind the large scope and objectives of the     Company


 

Salary:                  We offer a competitive compensation package based on education and experience.

 

Hours of Work:      6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday to Friday

 GENERAL MACHINIST 

Position:                General Machinist (Fulltime Permanent Position)

 

Hire Date:              Immediate

 

Duties:           
• Machine various components and parts for electric motors using vertical or horizontal boring mills, lathes or other related equipment
• Maintain accurate records of jobs-in-progress and completed jobs
• Deliver completed stock to next station for job continuation
• Inspect machined parts from outside suppliers if needed
• Verify outside supplier inspection reports against Elettra drawings
• Perform equipment maintenance as required
• Drive forklift truck
• Lift safely with pedestal crane
• Be aware of moving machinery and related dangers at all times. Lift properly using leg muscles.
• Maintain equipment and work area in a clean, safe and orderly condition
• Must possess the ability to maintain strict tolerances and produce pieces with a high degree of accuracy necessary to the manufacturing of our product
• Provide help when needed in other manufacturing areas during various steps of motor manufacturing process
 

Qualifications:

• Completion of secondary school or equivalent
• At least 2nd year Machining Apprenticeship. Note: Machining skills, not operator skills are required
• Some experience and knowledge of quality assurance systems preferred
• Able to work effectively in a team environment
• Able to work independently and accurately with a minimum of supervision
