Technical Data
Stator Construction
- stator
core consists of a solid stack of thin high-grade (low-loss) fully processed
silicon steel
- core is
pressed and held together by heavy stator endplates at each end of the core
- for
440, 500 & 5000 frames, the core laminations are held together by a
series of welds on the outside diameter of the core, the core is then wound
and shrunk in the frame.
- for all
other frames, the core is stacked in a fixture and then shrunk in the frame,
and the cores are retained in the frame by either welding or pinning.
- core is
then wound and connected and the leads are attached.
